Soooooooo I've decided to don the trunks and armbands and attempt to swim the Solent on 11th July 2015 to help raise money for a charity very close to my heart, The Peter Westropp Memorial Trust (PWMT). For those of you that had the pleasure of meeting Pete, you will know that a big part of his life was empathy for other people. Whether he was with family, friends, or making a first introduction, Pete appreciated and made a connection with those around him. He was one of the funniest, most charming greatest human beings I've ever known. I feel privelaged to have been a part of his life.
The PWMT is a big supporter of the Carers Trust, which is the largest provider of comprehensive carers support services in the UK. This is truly an exceptional cause and one that reflects Peter's desire to include anyone who felt that they were on the periphery of any given situation and make them feel like a valued and important part of their social surroundings.
